Howdy, This is Justyna, and have more makeup than I know what to do with, but I’ve been pretty effing lazy recently when it comes to mix and matching colours. On a daily basis, chances are I awakened late and don’t have much time to put more than minimal effort into making my face, so I slap on an eyeshadow, infrequently eyeliner, mascara, and run out the door. Sadly it was not until I received a handful of Motives makeup to try that I realized how severely i have been neglecting one of my only real passions : playing in cosmetics.
Motives Cosmetics by Loren Ridinger is a moderately new line that isn’t huge, but definitely should be. It’s not super pricey, and many cosmetics firms don’t get that quality doesn’t have to be at once related with cost. This isn’t one of those corporations. The Pressed Eye Shade ( $12 ) feels literally like velvet.
It picks up on a brush pretty simply, but I wish to use my pinky finger to mix the colours. I attempted on some different shades over the course of a week to get a understanding of all of the colors. They aren’t super-heavy, so it’s probably not best as a stage makeup brand, but it works pretty well for wearing to parties and so on . You may also mix the colors with a small water to get a heavier look. The Kohl Eyeliner ( $14 ) goes on smoothly and also makes a solid base for a liquid liner, if you intend to be out for hours at a time and do not need motives makeup wearing out before you do.
I am routinely not ardent on powder foundation at ALL ( it makes my face look dry and gross ), but the Liquid Powder Foundation with SPF fifteen ( $24.95 ) went on smoothly and didn’t have a cakey finish. While I will not wear it every day, it’s got great coverage for Sat. Nights and times I am on camera ( hi-def is a bitch )
Last Sat. I was headed to a party, so I thought it’d be charming to layer their new gloss ( coming shortly on the site over the rich Color Lipstick in Venetian Red ( $14 ). I got a huge amount of compliments, and the boyfriend liked it, so when I awakened the next day still a touch lagered and ready to wear a fun outfit for Sun. Funday ( read : palatable breakfast and unlimited mimosas, amen ), I was wearing it again for more oomph.
At last, i have been wearing the Pressed Blush in Runway ( $13.50 ) for the past few days rather than my common cheek stain. It’s not made a giant difference, but that is sort of the point, right? I was wearing it to a latest office party, got lots of compliments, I adore Motives Cosmetics !
